Summer Puertollano (b. 1990, Manila) is a film photographer, published writer, and interdisciplinary artist, who moved out of the city to live by the sea. Her practice has always revolved around producing tangible works — using photography, fabric, nature, and words, to create images, textile art, and installations — informed by childhood memories and interests, evolved by life experiences.
What seems to be child-like play becomes intentional and full of introspection; often an intersection of abstraction and representation.
She has participated in group exhibitions in the Philippines, Spain, and the UK. She’s installed artworks for a number of music & art festivals, and participated in artist residency programs in Mexico and the Philippines.
Today, she remains dedicated to her personal projects, participating in exhibitions and contributing to group shows. She also regularly creates space for workshops, events, and honest conversations with fellow creatives and curious minds.
